Manchester city were banned from playing UEFA champions last two years but their case was overturned by court of Arbitration of sports and are able to participate on UEFA champions even this season as they are set to face Leipzig on their round of 16.
This case seems to be very serious for Man city this round as any sanction imposed they will not be able to appeal on CAS and that means they will have to follow on how premier league body orders.
If Man city will be punished on stripping their titles, means any EPL team finished on second position will be crowned the champions.
As i conclude, last nine year period, United finished second to City on two occasions the 2011/12 season and the 2017/18 season. If City were stripped of their league titles and the Premier League decided to hand over to second placed as per respective season.
Also in 2015/2016 season,united finished on 5th position missing out champions league which led them miss UEFA champions league revenue,if Man city are deemed to have gained unfair advantage,United can take an action for compensation.
